* Tally = Tally is an accounting software (or package), Which solve all the problems related to acounts and inventory in business.

What is the full form of tally.

*Business*

*Business = Business is work relating to the production & trading of goods or services for a profit.

Hindi = व्यवसाय एक लाभ के लिए वस्तुओं या सेवाओं के उत्पादन और व्यापार से संबंधित काम है।

Compound Jounral Entry

A compound jounral entry is an accounting enry in witch there is more then one debit more then one credit. or more then of both debit and credit.

To Cash Cr. 15000/-

Profit and loss account

The profit and loss account shows what net profit and loss your business has made within an accounting period after deducting all expenditure from the income.

Gross profit (G.P.) = Total sale - Total purchase

Net profit (N.P.) = Gross profit - Expense + Income

NOTE - (If amount of G.P is negative then he is gross loss & Same as Net profit.)

Discount

Discount - Discount are those amount that reduce the price of good &services.

Types of Discount

Trade discount – The trade discount is normally a percentage discount is calculated off the total amount of the goods. Cash discount – The cash discount is the reduce amount of total bill of product & services.

Journal Entry

Write journal of following question:-

1. Raman starts business with cash 10,00,000/- (10 lakh).

2. Purchase some of goods from Raju Traders 1,20,000/- TD 10%.

3. Paid rent and Maintenance Charge for cash 10,000/- & 1000/-.

4. Paid paper bill & cable bill for cash 1,000/- & 500/-.

5. Paid cash to Raju Traders Pending amount with CD 2%.

6. Sale sum of goods to cash 45,000/- TD 12%.

7. Receive commission & interest for cash 10,000/- & 5,000/-.

8. Paid legal Exp. For cash 10,000/-.

9. Paid Advt. Charge & commission for cash 10,000/- & 2,000/-.

10. Sale sum of goods to Komal agency 1,50,000/- & TD 10%.

11. Cash deposit into HDFC Bank 35,000/-.

12. Receive cash from Komal agency pending amount with CD 3%.

13. Purchase sum of goods for cash 35,000/-.

14. Withdraw cash from HDFC Bank 20,000/-.

15. Sale sum of goods to cash 80,000/- TD 5% .

16. Find Gross profit & Net profit of ( above question).
